    St. Joe’s-Metuchen couldn’t really re-load anymore than they already have but the Falcons have added another piece to what is shaping up to be a heck of a season in Metuchen.

    After bringing in Wade Baldwin to go along with big man Karl Towns, the Falcons have added another star in former Cardinal McCarrick guard Marques Townes. The 6-foot-3 rising junior who averaged 19 points per game this past season recently announced he will be heading to Metuchen where he will join an already star studded line-up.

    NEW YORK — Troy Williams’s recruitment is in flux.

    Just a few months ago, he was going to announce for Kentucky or North Carolina.

    Now a slew of new schools, including Ohio State, Indiana, Kansas, Memphis, Alabama, South Carolina, Georgetown and Arkansas are in the mix for the 6-foot-6, high-flying athletic wing who had 10 points as the USA team beat the NYC team, 87-86, Saturday night in the Big Strick classic at City College of New York.

    NEW YORK — The Harrison Twins are moving closer and closer to ending the suspense about their college choice, and they say three schools are contacting them the most at this point.

    “Baylor, Kentucky and Maryland, they pretty much contact us on a weekly basis,” Aaron Harrison Jr. told SNY.tv in the above video interview prior to going for 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists as the USA team beat the NYC team, 87-86, Saturday night in the Big Strick Classic at City College of New York.

    “So I mean all those three, they pretty much contact us every day, every week.”

    Former St. John’s commit Darrick Wood and former Hofstra commit Malik Nichols are both headed to junior college.

    Wood, a 6-foot-4 combo guard, signed with Palm Beach (Fla.) College, while Nichols, a 6-7 wing from Queens, is headed to South Plains (Texas) College. Both Wood and Nichols spent last season playing for coach Whit Lesure at Bridgton (Maine) Academy.

    “[Wood] did [sign with Palm Beach], we’re very happy to have him,” Palm Beach coach Butch Estes told SNY.tv Monday.

    Tony Trocha will be on a college campus in December.

    That’s what his mentor, Jamie Ibanez, told SNY.tv Monday afternoon.

    “He’s going to college in December, spring semester,” Ibanez said of the Colombian native. “He’s not going to prep school or anything.”

    During the Reebok Breakout Challenge last month, Ibanez rattled off a list of scholarship
    offers that includes Kentucky, Ohio State, Baylor, Texas A&M, Arizona, UCLA, Oregon, Providence and Georgetown, among others.

    Seton Hall, Syracuse

    NEW YORK — Syracuse may be headed to the ACC in 2013, but the Orange could take some of New York City’s best players with them.

    Chris McCullough, a 6-foot-10 2014 forward from The Bronx, told SNY.tv exclusively that he has talked with several fellow New York stars about playing together for Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim.

    “We talked about it twice already, me, Jermaine [Lawrence] and Isaiah [Whitehead]. We said it would be a good fit for all three of us,” McCullough said after going for 14 points, 8 rebounds, 2 blocks, 2 assists and 1 steal in team NYC’s 87-86 loss to team USA Saturday night in the Big Strick Classic at City College of New York.
