Severe Meets With Rutgers’ Jordan, Says He’ll Sleep On It
Jon Severe met with new Rutgers coach Eddie Jordan on Tuesday night and said he still hasn’t chosen his future school.
“I’m gonna sleep on it,” the Christ the King guard told SNY.tv.
After being introduced as Rutgers’ new coach earlier Tuesday, Jordan met with Severe in New York and told him he could be his first recruit to a team that currently has just a half dozen scholarship players.
“It was good,” said Severe, the reigning New York Mr. Basketball. “He said he loves me. I could be his first recruit. He seemed like a good guy.”
Asked if Rutgers was now officially on a list that also includes Fordham, Pitt, West Virginia and Wake Forest, Severe said, “Yeah, you could say that. They’re in the back of my head.”
Former West Virginia guard Jabarie Hinds is down to two schools.
Syracuse junior C.J. Fair has not yet decided whether or not to enter the NBA Draft.
In its first year in the ACC, Syracuse will host perennial ACC powers Duke and North Carolina, and that has Jim Boeheim very excited.
