NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. — With his performance in the quarterfinals at the Peach Jam Saturday night, Semi Ojeleye continues to open eyes about his vast potential.
A 6-foot-7 small forward from Ottawa (KS), Ojeleye went for 33 points and 8 rebounds as MoKan Elite downed James Young and The Family, 81-79, to advance to a semifinal showdown with Andrew Wiggins and CIA Bounce on Sunday.

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. — Aaron Gordon is banged up but he and the Oakland Soldiers are into the Peach Jam semis.
Battling injuries to his hip and left toe, Gordon was limited to 6 points and 12 rebounds as the Soliders downed Tyus Jones (28 points) and Howard Pulley, 68-66, in the quarterfinals here Saturday night.
The Soldiers will play CP3 in one semifinal here Saturday, while Mokan will play CIA Bounce in the other.
NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. — For what it’s worth, Al Freeman thinks his Boo Williams teammates, Troy Williams and Anthony “Cat” Barber” will end up together at the same school next year.
That could spell good news for Louisville or Alabama and bad news for Kansas.
That, in turn, is ironic because Freeman is considering Kansas among his Top 5 and could end up with Barber on the Jayhawks.
“Me personally, I think they [Williams and Barber] end up going together,” Freeman, a 6-4 combo guard, said after scoring 17 points to help Boo Williams beat the Playaz, 79-68, at the Peach Jam.
NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. — If Troy Williams and Anthony “Cat” Barber can talk package deals, then why not James Young and Wes Clark?
Clark, a 6-foot point guard from Romulus, Mich., told SNY.tv he and the 6-7 Young have talked about possibly playing together at Michigan State, or maybe Syracuse.
“We’re thinking about going somewhere together, Michigan State and Syracuse,” Clark said after he went for 15 points and 7 assists and Young went for 34 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists as The Family
NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. — Both Jay Bilas himself and several Big East basketball coaches say they are intrigued by Rick Pitino’s idea of Bilas serving as the next Big East Commissioner.
“Interesting idea and really flattering,” Bilas told SNY.tv Saturday. “I’m not sure the Big East Presidents are ready for a Little Jeezy bumping in the Big East hallways. It would be nice to earn almost as much as the NCAA President, though.”
Pitino said on his Website he thought Bilas would be ideal for the job.
