Memphis freshman forward Adonis Thomas is undecided about whether he’ll return to campus or declare for the NBA Draft, head coach Josh Pastner told SNY.tv.
“He is 50/50 and has no timetable on when he makes his decision,” Pastner said.
Thomas is No. 32 on the DraftExpress.com list of Top 100 prospects.
The NCAA’s deadline to declare for the draft is April 10, while the NBA early-entry deadline is April 29.
Bashir Mason has assisted Dan Hurley at St. Benedict’s Prep and Wagner College.
Now he gets his chance to follow Hurley and be his own head man.
Mason on Sunday was named the new head coach at Wagner, replacing Hurley who agreed last week to a six-year, $4 million deal with Rhode Island.
“We’re very excited that Bashir Mason will be the next head men’s basketball coach here at Wagner College,” Wagner AD Walt Hameline said Monday in a statement.
Sam Cassell Jr. is the newest member of Maryland’s strong 2012 recruiting class.
The 6-foot-2 son of the former NBA sharpshooter pulled the trigger for the Terps while home on break, choosing them over South Florida, Florida State, Villanova, UConn and Virginia Tech.

BOSTON — Dion Waiters summed up the feelings of many Syracuse players, coaches and fans when asked about the referees following Syracuse’s 77-70 loss to Ohio State in the East Regional final.
“I feel as though a lot of calls went the other way,” a downtrodden Waiters, who appears to have played his final game at Syracuse, said in the corner of the locker room. “Plain and simple. It felt like we were playing five-on-eight.”
Syracuse was called for 29 fouls, leading Ohio State to go 31-for-42 from the line. Ohio State was whistled for 20 fouls and Syracuse went 20-for-25 from the line.
