Junior college point guard Trivante Bloodman visited Seton Hall over the weekend and remains open in his recruitment.

“It went great,” the 6-foot, 180-pound Manhattan native told SNY.tv Wednesday by phone. “I went [to The Prudential Center]. It was nice, big arena and everything.”

Seton Hall is actively seeking a point guard with the graduation of Jordan Theodore and the ACL injury to Tom Maayan. The news of Bloodman’s visit to Seton Hall was first reported by SNY.tv and he said head coach Kevin Willard is offering the chance to play major minutes.

“Yeah, I would have a chance to be the starting point guard,” Bloodman said. “I would like to play in the Big East Conference but right now I’m trying to choose the school that would really fit me.

Mount Vernon point guard Isaiah Cousins has committed to Oklahoma, head coach Bob Cimmino confirmed to SNY.tv.

The 6-foot-4 Cousins chose the Sooners over Virginia Tech, UConn, Dayton and Xavier, Cimmino said.

“Isaiah is a 6-4 point guard who attacks the rim, hits the 3 and is a gym rat,” Cimmino said. “He never takes a play off and has elevated his game tremendously in the last year.”

The list of players to come out of “Money Earnin’ Mount Vernon” in recent years includes Ben Gordon of the Detroit Pistons, former Rutgers players Mike Coburn and Jonathan Mitchell, George Mason’s Sherrod Wright and West Virginia’s Kevin Jones and Jabarie Hinds.

While Shabazz Muhammad and Tony Parker are both set to announce their college choices April 11, Nerlens Noel has not set a date for his announcement.

“I’m not sure when I’ll announce yet,” Noel, who is considering Kentucky, Syracuse and Georgetown, told SNY.tv Wednesday by text.

The 6-foot-10 Noel leaves Friday for New Orleans and will play Sunday in the second annual All-American Championship at the University of New Orleans.

Noel and his fellow players will watch Saturday’s Final Four games at a viewing party in New Orleans, according to a Gazelle Group spokesman.

The Knicks will have to go at least 2-4 weeks without Amar’e Stoudemire.

The team on Wednesday announced that Stoudemire will return to New York from Miami “today after seeking a second opinion on a bulging disc of his lower back. Both doctors have agreed that he should undergo non-surgical treatment and rehabilitation, that will include an epidural. He is expected to be out for approximately 2-4 weeks.”

That would put Stoudemire out until mid- to late-April.

The regular season ends April 26 at Charlotte.

“We really don’t know what his condition is but I just feel bad for him because I know how passionate he is,” Tyson Chandler said following Monday’s win over Milwaukee. “We just have to keep plugging along.”

UConn junior power forward Alex Oriakhi has received his official release and is being courted by some big-time programs, according to a report.

Kentucky, North Carolina, Duke and Missouri are all interested in the 6-foot-9 Oriakhi, according to the Connecticut Post. The report says it’s “unlikely” Oriakhi will consider Duke.

UConn is currently banned from the 2013 NCAA Tournament and thus Oriakhi would be immediately eligible and would not have to sit out a season.
