After interviewing for the Detroit Pistons’ coaching vacancy, Michigan’s John Beilein will remain at the school and receive an extension.

Beilein led the Wolverines to the NCAA championship game this past season, the second time in six years he’d accomplished that. Michigan lost to Louisville in 2013 and Villanova this year.
Brendan Quinn of The Athletic reported Beilein will receive a two-year extension.
A source tells @TheAthleticDET that John Beilein and Michigan have a new contract nearly finalized.
• It will be a two-year extension with a rolling option, making his contract five years in total. • Believed to be worth just under $4 million per year.https://t.co/zpnusSS5QB— Brendan F. Quinn (@BFQuinn) June 6, 2018
