Lamonte’ Turner, a 6-foot-2 point guard from Bradenton (FL) IMG Academy, will reclass to 2015 from 2016 and announce his college choice at 2 p.m. on Tuesday.
Turner is considering Florida, Florida State, Louisville, Wichita State, Alabama, Auburn and Tennessee.
SNY.tv first reported the news of his reclassification last week.
“He will have the opportunity to enroll this fall,” IMG director Dan Barto said. “He is a great student and is beyond college ready.”
Coaches from Tennessee, Alabama, Arkansas and Baylor have all been in to see the Alabama native last week.
“Anyone who’s looking for a scoring point guard now will be interested,” Barto said.
Turner is ranked No. 30 among point guards in 2016 by 247Sports.com.
