
Bunting also considered Duquesne, St. Joe’s and Quinnipiac.
“I picked Fordham because of the opportunities it has to offer,” he told SNY.tv. “As soon as I got there I knew it was the school I was looking for. I just felt it was the best fit for basketball as well as academics.”
In Bunting, Fordham coach Tom Pecora is getting a rugged big-bodied frontcourt player who should improve over the next year before he gets on campus.
“The coaches were looking for a guy with a motor and someone who never stops working at his game,” Bunting said. “I feel like I fit that bill. I’ll be able to bring energy to the floor and I’ll provide a strong defensive presence in the paint.”
