    Kevin Ollie has agreed in principle to a contract extension that could pay him $15 million over five years, according to Yahoo! Sports.

    The deal would make Ollie the highest-paid coach in the American Athletic Conference at about $3 million per year.

    SMU coach Larry Brown reportedly makes $2.8 million annually.

    SNY.tv reported earlier this month that Ollie was due to make a minimum of $2.6 million going forward after winning the NCAA championship last month.

    Articles, St. John's

    Transferring Georgia Tech big man Robert Carter Jr. is currently on a visit to St. John’s.

    If all goes well, it’s possible he won’t take any more visits and could commit to the Johnnies tomorrow when he leaves the Queens school or later this week.

    “We might like it to a point that we don’t have to go anywhere else,” Winfred Jordan, Carter Jr.’s AAU coach, told SNY.tv by phone Monday. “He could stop right now.”

    Jordan said Carter Jr. is also considering South Carolina, Maryland, Baylor and Texas, but no other visits are planned.

    Oak Hill Academy, Recruiting

    Oak Hill (Va.) Academy point guard Shelton Mitchell plans to announce his college choice later this week after visits to Missouri and Vanderbilt.

    “I’ll be deciding end of this week,” he told SNY.tv by text.

    N.C. State is also trying to get him on a visit but so far he has taken just the two.

    “The [Missouri] visit was great, I liked campus a lot,” Mitchell said before the Vandy visit.

    Andrew Wiggins, NBA Draft

    Wiggins DunkAndrew Wiggins believes he should be the No. 1 pick in next month’s NBA Draft.

    And he may well get his wish.

    “I always put myself No. 1 above anybody else. That’s just me. I got a lot of confidence in myself,” Wiggins said Monday on ESPN’s “First Take.”

    Both Chad Ford of ESPN and DraftExpress.com have the 6-foot-8 Wiggins going No. 1 overall, ahead of Duke’s Jabari Parker and Wiggins’ Kansas teammate Joel Embiid.

    Seton Hall coach Kevin Willard continued to build on his stellar 2014 recruiting class with the commitment of Michael Nzei, a 6-foot-8, 195-pound power forward/center from Our Savior New American.

    Nzei committed to the Pirates after visiting two weeks ago, becoming their sixth pledge in 2014.

    “He’s a young Kenneth Faried,” one source said. “He plays hard with a lot of energy and athleticism.”

    “Mike is a versatile forward who brings a high level of energy to the court and can be an asset on both ends of the floor,” Willard said. “We are thrilled to have him join our family here at Seton Hall. Mike certainly complements this recruiting class well and adds another option to our front court.”

    Articles, USC

    Elijah Stewart, a 6-foot-5 shooting guard from Los Angeles Westchester, committed to USC at the end of his weekend visit, according to Scout.com.

    A onetime Loyola Marymount commit, Stewart also considered Cincinnati and Oklahoma State.

    Stewart is the No. 19 shooting guard in the Class of 2014, according to 247Sports.com.

    Stewart joins point guard Jordan McLaughlin, small forward Malik Marquetti, power forward Malik Price-Martin and center Jabari Craig in coach Andy Enfield’s 2014 class.
