The Raptors announced the news on their Website.
The 6-foot-2 former Syracuse point guard is projected to go to the Chicago Bulls at No. 16 by both DraftExpress.com and Chad Ford of ESPN.com.
The Raptors also have the 37th and 59th picks in the second round.
Both Ennis and his former CIA Bounce teammate Andrew Wiggins, the projected No. 1 pick, attended last week’s NBA Draft Lottery in New York.
Ennis has faced questions about his defensive abilities, but has said those questions are unfounded.
“On the defensive end, I think I’m a lot better than people expect,” the former St. Benedict’s Prep star told ESPN’s Andy Katz. “Coming from Syracuse there are a lot of questions on the defensive end, but I think through workouts and through the draft process I’ll be able to show that I have defense. I just try to improve on my speed and improve on my strength for the next level and just get ready to go up against the best PGs in the world.”
