    Shaq Cleare, a 6-foot-9, 265-pound sophomore center from Maryland, announced on Facebook he will transfer to Texas, where he will join 6-9, 285-pound Cam Ridley in the frontcourt.

    Fuquan EdwinAfter notching a vertical leap of 24 inches at the Portsmouth Invitational April 16-19, Fuquan Edwin decided he needed to do some more calf raises.

    Now he’s doing 200 per night with the aim of adding a couple of inches to his vertical leap.

    “I’m excited. I’ve been doing some calf raises,” the 6-foot-6 Paterson, N.J., native told SNY.tv by phone on Thursday. “Coming from Portsmouth, I didn’t like my vertical jump.”

    Edwin, the reigning Big East Defensive Player of the Year, is seeking to become the first Seton Hall player chosen in the NBA Draft since 2001, when the late Eddie Griffin and Samuel Dalembert both went in the first round.

    DraftExpress.com currently projects him as the No. 59 pick out of 60 — going to the Toronto Raptors.

    Brewster Academy, Recruiting

    GrahamEver since getting his release from Appalachian State earlier this month, Devonte’ Graham has been in high demand.

    The 6-foot-1, 180-pound point guard from Brewster (N.H.) Academy recently trimmed his list to five schools and has visited two of them in recent days — Kansas and N.C. State. Virginia is up next beginning Friday.

    As far as Kansas, Graham told SNY.tv, “I like the campus and the atmosphere and the players I really got along with, and all the coaches. Basically, I would come in and have an impact right away is what I was told.”

    jackson-davisJackson Davis has cut his list to three schools and will announce at 3:45 p.m. on Friday at his high school, his mother, Ginger Davis, confirmed to SNY.tv.

    The 6-foot-8 Lexington (Ky.) Lafayette power forward is down to Alabama, Butler and Rice.

    Arizona State, Columbia, Creighton, Florida and Vanderbilt are out.
