Myles Turner was originally supposed to visit Kansas this weekend for “Late Night in the Phog.”

Instead, he opted to head to the USA Basketball Men’s Developmental National Team’s October Mini-Camp in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Even though he’s projected as a top-2 pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, the 6-foot-11 Turner learned there’s always work to be done when it comes to developing your game.

“I definitely learned that you can never sleep out here,” Turner told SNY.tv Sunday evening. “Someone’s always coming for you, coming  to make the team, coming to make you not look not as you really are and you can never sleep out here. You gotta always stay hungry.”

On the recruiting front, Turner has cut his list to eight schools —  Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Arizona, Ohio State, Texas and Oklahoma State — and is still working out his visit schedule. He has always maintained he will sign in the spring.

Minnesota big man Reid Travis is down to a Final Four.

The 6-foot-7 forward from Minneapolis De Las Salle High is considering Duke, Gonzaga, Minnesota and Stanford, having eliminated Michigan State and UCLA.

He has already visited Gonzaga and Duke and has two more official visits left.

“I’m talking a visit to Stanford on the 18th and then Minnesota shortly after that [on the 25th],” he told SNY.tv by phone from USA Basketball in Colorado Springs, Colo.

He’s also considering Gonzaga and Duke, having cut Michigan State and UCLA.

Andre WalkerAndre Walker, a 6-foot-10, 225-pound power forward from Clarksburg (Md.) Bullis, committed to Hofstra on Saturday, giving coach Joe Mihalich a quality shot-blocker beginning in 2014.

He also considered Towson, George Mason, George Washington, James Madison, La Salle and others.

“The way I interacted with the players from the first time I met them was great and the coaching staff is a great group of guys,” Walker told SNY.tv. “Also the campus is beautiful. I had fun staying on campus. The players made my visit very interesting.”

As for his skillset, Walker is a natural shot-blocker who is still developing his offensive game.

Kevon Looney, the 6-foot-8 power forward from Milwaukee Hamilton, will announce his college choice Oct. 31, he confirmed to SNY.tv Saturday night from USA Basketball in Colorado Springs, Colo.

“Halloween, October 31st,” he said.

He is down to Duke, Tennessee, Florida, Michigan State, UCLA and Wisconsin.

“I have two more [official visits] left,” he said. “I have Michigan State and UCLA. Michigan State is next week on the 13th. UCLA I’m not 100 percent sure on the date. It’s either going to be the 25th or the 20th or something.”

Kelly Oubre is off the board.

“Blessed to say that I have committed to Kansas University,” he Tweeted.

The 6-foot-6 forward from Henderson (NV) Findlay Prep played about as well as anyone on the summer circuit, and is currently projected as the No. 13 pick in the 2015 NBA Draft by DraftExpress.com.

“If he goes to Kansas, he’s a tremendous acquisition for them, tremendous,” longtime New York recruiting expert Tom Konchalski told SNY.tv.

“He plays with the metabolism of a hummingbird. He has extremely high energy. His motor is never off and he’s always in attack mode. He’s a left-hander who slices to the basket, has very quick second- and third- jump. Has a pretty good mid-game. He’s not a very consistent 3-point threat right now, and that’s something he has to work on. At his size, he’s a small forward, possibly even a two guard down the road. He has tremendous athleticism, which is only trumped by his energy level.
