    Rashad Vaughn is postponing his official visit to Baylor this weekend, Findlay Prep coach Pete Kaffey told SNY.tv.

    “He’s still considering Baylor,” Kaffey said. “We’re just looking for another date for a basketball game.”

    Kaffey said rumors that Vaughn was injured were also untrue.

    “He’s not injured, he just has soreness,” he said. “He’s good.”

    The 6-foot-5 shooting guard will now take his first official visit to Iowa State (Nov. 17) before going to UNLV (Nov. 25). He told SNY.tv he is also considering taking officials to Kansas, Arizona and North Carolina. Minnesota is the seventh school on his list, and Vaughn has already been there unofficially.

    The American Athletic Conference — formerly the Big East football outfits plus friends — will hold their first annual media day Wednesday in Memphis, also the site of the conference tournament.

    That means that Louisville coach Rick Pitino won’t be in New York — site of the Big East media day. As you may recall, Pitino and Jim Boeheim had an entertaining war of words last year in New York, with each saying the other was “full of s–t.”

    James Blackmon Jr. will visit Indiana after Kentucky and hopes to decide by the early signing period.

    Jeff Rabjohns reported that Indiana coach Tom Crean saw Blackmon Jr. on Monday and that the the 6-foot-4 shooter from Marion (IN) High School will visit Indiana after the Oct. 18 visit to Kentucky for “Big Blue Madness.”

    “I really don’t have a timetable in mind [for deciding] but it should be before the November signing period, but I’ll probably commit before then,” he told SNY.tv by phone from the recent USA Basketball camp in Colorado Springs, Colo. “I really don’t have a date set up, I’ll probably know that in the next week or so.”

    Blackmon Jr. decommitted from Indiana in August, but is still considering Indiana, along with Michigan, Michigan State, Kentucky and Kansas. He has only visited Michigan officially so far since the decommitment.

    Comparing Andrew Wiggins to LeBron James is patently unfair to the Kansas freshman.

    Especially since James is on record saying, “I want to be the greatest of all time. And that’s my motivation…. It’s not simple, but for me it is. That’s my mindframe.”

    Yet in this day and age, comparisons between James and Wiggins will inevitably be made.

    So LeBron has a word of advice for the 6-foot-8 Wiggins amid all the hype.

    Stanley Johnson visited Arizona this past weekend for the annual Red-Blue Game as well as the Arizona-USC football game, won by the Trojans, 38-31.

    “That’s crazy,” Johnson told SNY.tv Monday. “I love it. I’m glad to see USC basketball fan support.”
