The Big East released the 2013-14 schedule, with a special five-game “marathon” on New Year’s Eve.

The conference announced that each school will play an 18-game schedule, the first time since 1994-95 that the league will feature a full, double round-robin format.

FOX Sports 1 will broadcast the majority of the games, while others will be seen on CBS, though a licensing deal between the two broadcast companies.

While the schools will release their full schedules soon, the composite conference schedule is below.

The NCAA has reviewed the waiver on Syracuse freshman forward Tyler Roberson and declared him a full qualifier.

“He’s all cleared,” Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim told SNY.tv Thursday by phone. “It took a little while but he’s cleared.”

The 6-foot-9 forward out of Roselle (N.J.)  Catholic is currently taking courses at Syracuse and had been anxiously waiting to see if his transcript met the NCAA’s minimum standards for incoming student-athletes to be eligible to play as freshmen.

Roberson joins fellow freshmen Tyler Ennis, B.J. Johnson, Ron Patterson and Chinonso Obokoh in Syracuse’s 2013 recruiting class.

“We are very happy for Tyler that all of his hard work has paid off and he has been cleared to play this season,” Roselle Catholic coach Dave Boff told SNY.tv.

Boeheim said he is excited about what Roberson can bring to the frontcourt and the 2-3 zone as the Orange enter the ACC.

LIU-Brooklyn star Julian Boyd re-tore his ACL in July and had surgery that month after he had received a sixth year of eligibility based on medical hardship.

“I feel awful for Julian,” LIU head coach Jack Perri told SNY.tv.

“He was working so hard to get back. It happened while he was working out. He already had a successful second surgery and is doing well. We are hopeful he gets back sometime in January for league play.”
