    GREENBURGH, N.Y. — The Knicks need youth in their frontcourt and have been working out a slew of big men to see if one catches their fancy.

    On Tuesday, N.C. State’s C.J. Leslie was one of two forwards to work out along with New Mexico’s Tony Snell.

    “I just think I can bring a lot of energy defensive-wise, scoring-wise, just I  can step in wherever they need me,” the 6-foot-9 Leslie said after the workout that also included guards Tim Hardaway Jr., Glen Rice Jr., Pierre Jackson and Phil Pressey.

    Leslie is projected as the No. 37 pick by DraftExpress.com, and the Knicks own the No. 24 pick.

    On the day of his unofficial visit to Nebraska, Joseph “JoJo” Anderson announced that he would be joining Jalen Coleman in transferring to La Lumiere Prep in LaPorte, Indiana for next season.

    His former Houston Yates teammate, 6-6 power forward Sadiq Inuwa, will also transfer to La Lumiere, according to Alex Kline of The Recruit Scoop.

    Anderson said that he had the idea of attending La Lumiere in his head since the coaching staff first contacted him.

    “Once they contacted me, I knew that it was a place that I wanted to go,” Anderson told SNY.tv. “The have great academics, a great coaching staff, and just a great environment as well.”

    Seton Hall freshman big man Kevin Johnson will transfer, a source close to the situation confirmed to SNY.tv.

    Johnson could wind up at Cal State-Northridge or San Diego State, sources said.

    Johnson was recruited by former Seton Hall assistant Chris Pompey, who is reportedly an option to join Reggie Theus’ staff at Northridge.

    Johnson initially picked Seton Hall over San Diego State.

    GREENBURGH, N.Y. — Kansas big man Jeff Withey knows what everyone else knows about the Knicks’ frontcourt.

    It’s old and banged up, and in desperate need of an infusion of youth.

    “Yes, unfortunately they got hurt and almost everybody in the big position got injured,” the 7-foot Withey said following a workout Monday against Bucknell big man Mike Muscala.

    “I like to model my game after Tyson Chandler defensively. It would be awesome to be able to come here and learn from him, get some stuff from him and mentor underneath him. They definitely do need that. I would love to be that person. I’ve never met him, but he’s a California guy just like me. Maybe I’ll meet him sometime.”

    GREENBURGH, N.Y. — Jeff Withey says Kansas coach Bill Self was “shocked” when he landed Andrew Wiggins and that the Jayhawks can win the 2014 NCAA championship with the Canadian star.

    “Everybody [in Lawrence] is excited for him to come in and play big minutes and I think next year they have a chance of winning it all,” the 7-foot Withey said Monday after working out for the Knicks.

    “Coach Self is going to develop him and they got a young, athletic team.”

    Florida

    Florida has suspended senior guard Scottie Wilbekin indefinitely for a violation of team rules, the school announced Monday.

    The 6-foot-2 Wilbekin averaged 9.1 points and 5.0 assists, second in the SEC, last season when the Gators finished 29-8.

    Wilbekin missed the start of the 2012-13 season with his first suspension, which included the season opener against Georgetown on an aircraft carrier docked across from Charleston, S.C.. That game was never completed because of unsafe court conditions.
