Guitar Gods, Far From Dead

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pdbpQddUb5g&w=560&h=315]

Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival came to Madison Square Garden last night and it was tremendous.

Here are some highlights, with Keith Urban and John Mayer doing The Beatles’ “Don’t Let Me Down.” It was 40 years ago this week that Paul McCartney walked out on the Beatles.

And here’s Clapton, B.B. King, Robert Cray and Jimmie Vaughn doing “Every Day I Have the Blues.”

Other highlights included Clapton doing an acoustic “Lay Down Sally” and Taj Mahal fronting The Allman Brothers Band for “Statesboro Blues”
