Point Guard Owootoah Still Awaiting Offers

Emmanuel Owootaoh is still waiting on some high-major offers and his recruitment is in flux.

The 2013 point guard from Canada who played at Cordia (Ky.) High School said he’s been in touch with DePaul and expects to hear from Indiana this week.

“I’ve spoken to DePaul,” he said. “I’m supposed to be speaking with Indiana coach Tom Crean tonight or this week.”

UCLA, Kentucky and Seton Hall are among the schools that have also expressed interest in Owootoah, but he has yet to receive any major offers,  he said.

“I’m waiting on it,” he said. “No recent offers.”

He also mentioned Michigan as an “option” because they’re losing Trey Burke.

As for visits, he said, “I’m going to wait until after the Final Four because I know there will be coaching moves.”
