NEW YORK — The ‘Big Three’ in men’s tennis is now officially a ‘Big Four’ and, boy, did this Golden Age just become a whole lot more compelling.

As if things weren’t interesting enough with Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic winning 29 of 30 Grand Slam events entering this U.S. Open, now here comes Andy Murray crashing his way into the party by virtue of a scintillating 7-6 (10), 7-5, 2-6, 3-6, 6-2 victory over Djokovic in Monday’s epic final.

Hallice Cooke liked his visit to Oregon State so much he verbally committed while there.

The 6-foot-3, 175-pound St. Anthony shooting guard pulled the trigger Monday, choosing the Beavers over St. Joe’s, Richmond and Xavier.

“I’m excited to announce that I will be heading West to attend Oregon State University,” Cooke told SNY.tv. “It is a perfect fit for me and I look forward to playing against great competition in the Pac-12.

A slew of heavyweight Division 1 coaches will parade through Huntington (W.V.) Prep in the coming days during this contact period.

Florida State head coach Leonard Hamilton is expected to watch Andrew Wiggins and Xavier Rathan-Mayes on Monday, head coach Rob Fulford told SNY.tv.

Kentucky coach John Calipari is also expected this week at some point to see the 6-foot-7 Wiggins, who may reclassify to 2013 from 2014 in order to enter the 2014 NBA Draft.
