Julius Randle, the top power forward in the Class of 2013, has “cut” his list to 10 schools.
Randle is down to Texas, Kansas, Baylor, North Carolina, Duke, Kentucky, Florida, N.C. State, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.
The news was first reported by Eric Bossi of Rivals, and confirmed by Randle in a text message.
Speaking by phone last week from the Elite 24 game, where he won the Dunk Contest, Randle told SNY.tv he would likely sign in the spring.
Cincinnati just got a whole lot bigger.
The Bearcats on Monday officially added David Nyarsuk, a 7-1, 230-pound center from Juba, Sudan who signed a letter of financial aid to attend Cincinnati.
SNY.tv reported Nyarsuk’s addition to the Bearcats on Aug. 6.
Nyarsuk has been cleared to play immediately by the NCAA and will have two years of eligibility, beginning this season. He played the last two seasons at Mountain State University, an NAIA school in Beckley, W.Va.

Kris Jenkins is headed to Villanova and he’s hoping to bring other talented players with him.
“Right now, my concentration is to try to get Josh Hart to commit and go to Villanova as well,” the 6-foot-6, 250-pound Jenkins told SNY.tv Sunday afternoon. “Young guys like Ja’Quan Newton and whoever else Villanova is recruiting from this area as well.”
Hart is a 6-5 2013 small forward from Sidwell Friends (Md.) and Newton is 6-3 point guard from Neumann-Goretti.
Jermaine Lawrence has joined a growing list of elite 2013 recruits who will sign in the spring.
“This is the most important decision he will make in his life to this point so it’s important that he takes his time with the process and feels completely ready to play for that coach and in that program,” his high school coach, Jason Hasson, told SNY.tv Monday.
“Right now, he’s continuing to develop relations with the coaching staffs and learning and studying rosters and styles of play.”
Aaron Gordon, one of the top players in the Class of 2013, says he has five official visits in the works.
“Recruiting-wise [I’m] down to five officials that are going to be set up and I have one unofficial,” the 6-foot-9 Gordon out of San Jose Mitty told Dave Telep of ESPN before going for 25 points and 6 rebounds en route to Player of the Game honors in the Under Armour Elite 24 game Saturday.
“I’m going to Arizona, Washington, Oregon, Kansas and Kentucky as officials and then in September I’m going to Cal on an unofficial.”
