PHILLY — Brian Oliver has found a new home.

The Glassboro, N.J., native and former Georgia Tech guard verbally committed to Seton Hall Wednesday after visiting campus Tuesday, and is expected to contribute at the shooting guard position beginning in 2012.

He will have to sit a year per NCAA transfer regulations and will then have two years of eligibility remaining.

“New Jersey is in my blood and I’m excited to be able to have the opportunity to put Jersey and Seton Hall back on the map,” he said by text.

“And I’m going to bring a work ethic and a passion that’s going to be contagious. I’m determined to get to the NCAAs and help this program in every way possible.”

Jordan Goodman has verbally committed.

Again.

The former Georgetown and Rutgers pledge verbally committed to Texas Tech on Monday.

“He committed to Texas Tech yesterday,” said Antwain Tennell, an assistant coach at Arlington (Fla.) Country Day where the 6-foot-10 Goodman goes to school.

“It just seemed like a good fit. They need a wing to come in. [Billy] Gillespie likes big wings and they need a wing to come in right away. He can help the program immediately. We thought it was a good fit with Jordan.”

Lamb Hits Game-Winner, Drops 35 in USA Victory

UConn rising sophomore Jeremy Lamb hit the game-winner and dropped a game-high 35 points to lead the USA to a 107-105 victory over Lithuania Tuesday in the FIBA U19 World Championships in Riga, Latvia.

With the game tied at 105, Lamb hit a step-back jumper over 6-foot-11 Jonas Valanciunas with 1.8 seconds to go.

“We ran a little high ball screen with him and Patric Young and he came off the ball screen and once we got the switch Jeremy knew what to do from there,” Team USA head coach Paul Hewitt said by phone from Latvia.
