Seton Hall continues to land recruits from all corners of the basketball world.

Eugene McCrory, a 6-foot-8 senior power forward out of Kamit Institute for Magnificent Achievers in Washington, D.C., is the latest player to commit to the Pirates after watching Seton Hall beat DePaul, 79-71, Sunday at the Prudential Center.

“He went up there and watched the game at 12 o’clock and texted me at 4 and said he had verbally committed to Seton Hall,” KIMA Coach Levet Brown told the Washington Post. “He just has to get the scores on the SAT or the ACT. He’s been working hard.”

The Big East Rookie of the Year race is turning into a photo finish.

Brooklyn’s Lance Stephenson of Cincinnati was named the Preseason Rookie of the Year by the coaches and many expected “Born Ready” to run away with the postseason honors.

But Rutgers’ freshman forward Dane Miller and Villanova freshman guard Maalik Wayns may have something to say about it.

The 6-foot-7 Miller won his second straight Rookie of the Week honors Monday after averaging 11.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists for the week.
