Aaric Murray Dismissed From West Virginia

Aaric Murray is on the move again.

The 6-foot-10 forward from Philadelphia was reportedly dismissed from West Virginia and the school made the following announcement.

“We came to a mutual agreement that it would be in his best interest to finish his collegiate career somewhere else,” head coach Bob Huggins said.

Murray, who graduated in May from West Virginia, could play at another school immediately. He averaged 8.8 points and 5.9 rebounds per game last year as a junior.

In 2011, Murray left La Salle after averaging 15.2 points and 7.7 rebounds. He was arrested in December 2011 in Philadelphia for marijuana possession.

Murray is the fifth West Virginia player to leave the program this offseason.

Guards Jabarie Hinds and Aaron Brown and forwards Keaton Miles and Volodymyr Gerun are also transferring.
