One-and-Done a Silly Rule

 

Mayo_headTyreke Evans isn’t making long-term plans at the University of Memphis.

 

 

“I’m going to wait and see how it goes, but if the one year is there for me,” the blue-chip basketball prospect said, “I’m gonna go.”

 

 

And by that he meant he was going to the NBA.

 

 

Like O.J. Mayo, the 6-foot-5 Evans out of American Christian (Aston, Pa.) is a talented guard who will likely spend one year on campus before heading for the riches of the NBA. And like Mayo, Evans must wait a year — a year he will spend in college — before going pro because of the NBA age limit.
