Interest is heading up for Petar Rusic, a 6-foot-4, 190-pound shooting guard at Jackson (Ky.) 22 Feet Academy.
“Petar is known as a great shooter and that is no mistake,” 22 Feet Academy coach Ryan Schmidt told SNY.tv. He is a specialist and a sniper, but he’s also a very complete player. He has one of the highest basketball skillsets.”
Purdue saw Rusic go for 27 points, including seven 3-pointers, in a game Friday night, and West Virginia was also out to see him recently.
Missouri, Kansas State, St. Bonaventure and Morehead State are also interested.
“I’m expecting things to really pick up for him,” Schmidt said.
Schmidt said Kentucky assistant Orlando Antigua was also out to see MiKyle McIntosh but will come back again after McIntosh hurt his knee in the second period.
