Demetrius Henry Cuts to Three (UPDATED)

Demetrius Henry is down to three schools

The 6-foot-9, 218-pound big man from Faith Baptist Christian School (Fla.) is now considering South Florida, Miami and South Carolina.

“Want to thank all the coaches that have recruited me, but I decided to cut my list to three schools. USF, UM,SOUTH CAROLINA no order,” he tweeted.

He had previously considered Texas, Rutgers and Auburn, too.

“He will set up visits in March and make a decision in April,” Faith Baptist and Team Breakdown coach Kenny Gillon told SNY.tv. “He is working hard now, averaging 18 points, 12 rebounds and 3 blocks for a talented Faith Baptist Christian team.”

Gillon said Henry will be able to help whatever school he picks.

“He is a face-up forward who can score on the inside and from the perimeter,” he said. “He averages about two 3-pointers a game.”

He added: “He is good defensively and has good timing blocking shots.”
