Julius Randle, the top power forward in the Class of 2013, has “cut” his list to 10 schools.
Randle is down to Texas, Kansas, Baylor, North Carolina, Duke, Kentucky, Florida, N.C. State, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.
The news was first reported by Eric Bossi of Rivals, and confirmed by Randle in a text message.
Speaking by phone last week from the Elite 24 game, where he won the Dunk Contest, Randle told SNY.tv he would likely sign in the spring.
“I think the spring is a better decision for me, but I’m not going to rule out the fall,” he said.
What’s the advantage of the spring?
“Pretty much the players and you can see the head coaches,” he said. “It will give me another chance to study their systems. I haven’t really studied systems since I’ve been recruited, but it gives me a chance to really look at the coaches.”

I can not wait to see how many UNC players get their degrees taken away. Could it be H.Davis? Is this why he is taking more classes? Or Kenny or Rick….

UK is six deep and they are all unproven….
Lot of hype and it’s understandable coming off NC, but u lost your whole team except Wiltjer, who played about 5 mins a game and wasn’t impressive.

uk has been unproven for the past 3 seasons…total record. 102 and 14, a national title, 2 final fours and 1 elite 8. how much do fans need to finally accept that “unproven” is meaningless? also in that time uk has never had a deep team. two things non uk fans desperately hang their hat on that are just complete myths.
and if wiltjer isnt impressive as a freshman playing just 10 minutes a game in a minor role on a title team averaging 5 ppg shooting 43% from three then i dont see how you can list guys like parrom, chol, and mayes as “talented” players who had much larger roles, more experience, played more minutes yet averaged just 5.0 ppg or less.
and arent 4 of those 10 guys just as unproven? and arent the other 6 guys the same 6 that went to the NIT last year?

This will be the worst cal team at UK yet, does not mean they won’t be good , just my opinion.
You make valid points but Chol only played 8 mins a game, and Mayes and parrom are coming off injury plagued seasons.
Parrom averaged 9 a. Gm as soPh and Mayes 6 ppg as a freshmen.
Both are now healthy and believe me the Cats are looking good right now. Putting in some serious time in weight room. Saw video highlights of there trip to Bahamas ( can show u link if you’d like) and they will be a exciting and dangerous team.

It’s based on your recruits being less talented than last three classes.
It’s based on an article I read on Noel about him not being as good as advertised. It’s based on your team having no chemistry. Oversea trips are overrated? Really. You get 10 practices leading up to trip that other schools don’t get until oct 15 th and up to four games against teams. So while all your freshman are doing what you think is samething as other teams, in reality teams that are taking trips have a serious advantage. Arizona players have been on campus since early June in summer school, working out, building chemistry, practicing with coaches. And don’t kid yourself not all schools are equal with weightlifting and facilities. And it makes a difference in a real program which UK right now is clearly not.

Noel just showed up on campus, harrow is a transfer,Wiltjer hasn’t played w anyone in rotation, not sure when your other freshman arrived on campus, maybe u could shed some light?
Just saying teams that go on a trip and Arizona specifically have a head start on other teams who can’t practice till 10/15.

harrow and wiltjer have been on the team a whole year, poythress, goodwin, cauley, and mayes have been on campus since june as well and all have been being coached by the staff under the new summer coaching rules. and since noel has been on campus, they have started team breakfast workouts with out the coaching staff.
and you know what…all of that doesnt answer my question. how do you know what uk’s team chemistry is like? you cant possible know. and you dont even know what zona’s chemistry is like…you are not on the team!
