‘Cat’ Barber Sets Visits

Anthony “Cat” Barber is one of the most sought after point guards in the Class of 2013.

The 6-foot-2 Hampton (Va.) floor general told SNY.tv he has set official visits to N.C. State (Sept. 1-3), Louisville (Sept. 7-10) and Alabama (Sept. 18-21). He will also visit Kansas but has no date set yet.

Barber and Boo Williams teammate Troy Williams have talked about playing together at both Alabama and Louisville, and Troy Williams visited Alabama this week.

“We’re about 50/50 on it,” Williams told SNY.tv last week at the Big Strick Classic. “We’re going to talk about it more. We’re going to try and either commit and sign in November. If not, we’re going to just wait until the spring.”

Kansas is also recruiting Williams, so it’s possible both players could wind up there, too, but Barber said they haven’t yet discussed it.
