Larry Brown Sounds Off On Lin

The Knicks have not and are not expected to release a statement in the wake of declining the Houston Rockets’ offer sheet to Jeremy Lin, but a former employee made his feelings about the situation known to a large audience on Wednesday afternoon.

While appearing on ‘The Mike Lupica Show’ on ESPN New York 98.7 FM, former Knicks head coach Larry Brown said that the Knicks declining to match Houston’s three-year, back-loaded $25.1 million offer sheet to Lin was a sound business move. Brown, currently the head coach at Southern Methodist University, went on to say he viewed Lin as a ‘terrific backup.’
