This will not be the first time The Who has toured performing its 1973 double-album about alienation, mods and rockers. The band took Quadrophenia on the road in North America and Europe in 1996 and ’97.
To recreate Quadophenia live, Messrs. Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey will have a little help from their friends – Zak Starkey on drums, bassist Pino Palladino, Simon Townshend on guitar/backing vocals, keyboardist Christ Stainton, Loren Gold on keyboards and backing vocals and Frank Simes serving as musical director as well as keyboardist and backing vocalist.

So what are we most psyched to hear? The Toyota commercial? The claritin commercial? How about the theme song to CSI? I doubt he’ll play the JC Penney commercial because that was from Pete Townshend’s solo record. Wouldn’t it have been great if the Who’s first farewell tour in 1982 was really their farewell tour?
