WASHINGTON, D.C. — Gonzaga forward Kris Jenkins is on the shelf for July with a pinky injury but plans to cut his list perhaps next month.
“He hurt his pinky during the season so…he’s out for the summer,” Gonzaga coach Steve Turner told SNY.tv at the Nike Global Challenge.
“He’s going to be getting his pin out soon and he’ll be ready to go in August.”
The 6-foot-6 forward holds offers from Villanova, Miami, Xavier, South Carolina, Clemson, Rutgers, Boston College, Penn State and George Washington, according to the Washington Post.
He also has garnered interest from Georgetown, Ohio State and Louisville after averaging 20.4 points, 10.6 rebounds and 4.0 assists last season.
“A lot of guys are still going at him pretty hard so I think in August he and his mom and his family will sit down and start talking about where he’s gonna visit in the fall,” Turner said.
“He will make a decision in the fall before the season. That’s his plan.”
