Knicks Decline Lin Offer Sheet, Linsanity to Houston

A surreal 72-hour period has now come to this. Linsanity is heading to Texas.

The Knicks confirmed late Tuesday evening that they have declined to match the three-year, back-loaded $25.1 million offer sheet signed by Jeremy Lin with the Houston Rockets on Friday. The offer sheet made its way to the Knicks on Saturday and they had until Tuesday night at 11:59:59 p.m. to either match it or decline it. Nothing is official until that deadline passes.
