PISCATWAY, N.J. — The Garden State Challenge was supposed to be a mechanism for Rutgers to pick up a few early wins over teams outside of the brutal Big East Conference.
Instead, it turned into a chance for St. Bonaventure to pull off the program’s biggest victory in nearly a decade.
St. Bonaventure stunned the Scarlet Knights 64-63 in overtime Sunday afternoon to win the event in which both teams finished 3-1.
