South Carolina Up Next For Jordan Dickerson

The tallest player still left in the Class of 2012 is fresh off a visit to Providence and heads to South Carolina next.

7-foot Brooklyn native Jordan Dickerson visited Providence this week and will trip to the SEC school Sunday-Tuesday.

“[USC coach] Frank [Martin] was recruiting him when he was at Kansas State,” Dickerson’s uncle, Darrell Crawford, told SNY.tv.

“Now he’s over at South Carolina and he still likes him.”

South Carolina just lost forward Damontre Harris when he transferred to Florida.

Crawford said his nephew may visit Auburn following the South Carolina visit, but no date has been set.

“We’re going to try to work that out,” he said.

As for Providence, it went well as expected.

“He said he liked it,” Crawford said. “It was cool. He saw the campus. They showed him the arena.

“Coach [Ed Cooley] really likes him. He [would] fit in right into their program to what they’re looking for.”

Providence has a strong class already signed including guards Ricky Ledo, Kris Dunn, Josh Fortune and Ian Baker

“It’s a good class,” Crawford said. “They have two McDonald’s All-Americans coming in.”
