Sophomore guard Jordan Clarkson is transferring to Missouri from Tulsa, CBSSports.com reports.
“I’m comfortable with Coach [Frank] Haith and the team,” Clarkson, who averaged 16.5 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists, told CBS. “Coach Haith’s had a lot of success with transfers and it just felt like the right place for me.”
A first-team All-Conference USA first-team last season, the 6-foot-4, 185-pound Clarkson also considered UCLA and Illinois.
He opted to leave following the coaching change that brought in Danny Manning.
The addition of Clarkson may take MIssouri out of the running for 6-8 Devonta Pollard, who is also considering Alabama, Georgetown and Texas.
Clarkson joins former UConn big man Alex Oriakhi in offseason transfers to Missouri.
The Tigers will also add transfers Jabari Brown (Oregon), Keion Bell (Pepperdine) and Earnest Ross (Auburn).

Wow, another awesome pickup for Frank Haith. Missouri is quickly becoming a national power and the class of the Big 12. Congrats!

Oops.. sorry, I almost forgot they’re in the SEC now. Regardless, they’re gonna be really good.

You gotta do something besides bring in some transfers and look good in the regular seaons before your even close to being a national power. Make it out of the 2nd round and get back to me.

AGinNYC, you’re clueless. Even if they were in the Big 12 next year…they NEVER won the conference but all the sudden they get some TRANSFERS and they would be the “class” of the conference. Do you watch sports?
