Cali Big Man Still Leaning to Harvard

Cali big man Zena Edosomwan is still dreaming of playing at Harvard.

And he’s wanted that even before Linsanity began.

“That’s where he wants to go,” Greg Hilliard, the Harvard-Westlake coach, told SNY.tv Thursday by phone.

“He still doesn’t have the index he’s after. The last test he took in January is due back any day now. He still would have the opportunity to take it another time if he’s short.”

A 6-foot-8 power forward ranked No. 35 at his position in the Class of 2012 by Rivals, Edosomwan currently lists the Crimson ahead of traditional powerhouses UCLA and Texas, as well as Cal and USC, as reported here in December.

“I think we’re still a ways away from a decision,” Hilliard said. “It will come out of the ones who have been there. Texas, Cal, UCLA and USC have been there since the start. Those were his original visits and the places he wants to go to if he doesn’t go to Harvard.

“When you wait this late so many things can change. If he waits another month and finds out he can’t to go to Harvard, he would open it up to those others.”
