Coach: ‘N.C. State Still Leads For Torian Graham’

Two-time N.C. State decommit Torian Graham has changed high schools, but apparently not his favorite college.

Ro Russell, Graham’s coach at Creedmoor (N.C.) Christian Faith, said the Wolfpack are still Graham’s top option.

‘N.C. State still leads for him but he hasn’t closed the door for other schools,” Russell told SNY.tv Wednesday.

“We’re waiting for the season to be over before he figures what schools to visit officially and narrow it down. He won’t make a decision until April.”

N.C. State already has a loaded 2012 recruiting class in McDonald’s All-American point guard Tyler Lewis, shooting guard Rodney Purvis and athletic wing T.J. Warren.

Before the 6-foot-4 Graham left Arlington Country Day earlier this year, Arlington coach Rex Morgan said Memphis was also involved with him.

“It’s been tough for him,” Russell said of Graham. “He transferred second semester when we already submitted our roster so he’s only able to play in non-conference games. He can’t play in conference games.

“He’s mostly practicing and taking care of his knee. He had some tendonitis in his knee. He’s taking care of his knee and focusing on his grades

“Basketball is not as important as qualifying and getting his knee together and figuring out the the recruting part.”

Russell said 6-2 point guard Kaza Keane, who recently reclassified to 2012, has drawn interest from Nebraska, Georgia Tech, Pittsburgh, Georgetown, Seton Hall, Tennessee and Oklahoma State.

“Some of them have shown they want to get visits going,” Russell said.
