Chris Walker will visit Florida State Thursday for the Duke game, and won’t be at Kansas this weekend, he told SNY.tv.
“Florida State tomorrow,” he said by text.
The 6-foot-9 Walker is the Rivals No. 2 power forward in the Class of 2013 and recently listed Kansas in his top three, along with UConn and Florida.
“They’re recruiting me hard and say I can come in and start and be an instant impact,” Walker told Five-Star Basketball in December in reference to Kansas. “They’re recruiting me for the three and four.”
After visiting campus in October, Walker has watched a few Kansas games on TV.
“I could help them on defense and help them score a lot and do [well] on the pick-and-rolls.”
Kansas hosts Missouri Saturday and is set to host Shabazz Muhammad, JaKarr Sampson, Perry Ellis, Conner Frankamp and Brannen Greene.
Ellis, Frankamp and Greene have all committed.
The 6-foot-6 Muhammad begins play with Bishop Gorman in the Nevada state tournament Thursday.
He is considering UCLA, UNLV, Duke, Kansas, Arizona and Kentucky, but wants to win a state title after his team was upset last year in the semifinals.
“This would be icing on the cake, winning the state title,” Muhammad told the Las Vegas Sun.

Florida State Duke < KU Mizzou a no brainer. I don't think Chris even understands the rock star status he would recieve at this game. The dude would be treated like a king by the fans.

considering he was on campus in october, it’s not all that bad. he can still catch the game on cbs and still witness some of the enviroment that comes with big games in the greatest college bball venue in all the land.

Mike,
Football is better watched at home. Basketball and Hockey is better live. Especially at a Kansas game. You will not find a better enironment in all of sports than Kansas basketball.

He’s visiting Florida State because it’s an unofficial. He would have to buy his plane ticket and everything else last minute. He can drive to Florida State. This isn’t a big deal. It would be nice to get him in the Fieldhouse for a big game, but Florida State isn’t even the top school in his state. If there is another school in that area to actually worry about, it’s Florida.
