‘Melo Misses Second Straight Day of Practice

Carmelo Anthony missed his second straight day of practice Tuesday after hyper-extending his left knee Monday after stepping on Iman Shumpert’s foot.

It is possible Anthony could miss Saturday’s preseason game against the Nets at the Prudential Center.

“I thought he was fine yesterday, I think he’s fine today,” coach Mike D’Antoni told reporters. “He’s just day to day. We’re just being sure that he’s OK. I don’t see anything more than a day or two, hopefully.”

D’Antoni said Anthony was sore for a second straight day.

“We’ll just make sure that goes away before he goes again,” D’Antoni said.
