Jabari Brown Leaves Oregon

Freshman Jabari Brown has left the Oregon basketball team, according to a report on OregonLive.com.

“I will say it up front, I don’t want him to leave,” Ducks coach Dana Altman said after his team’s 86-61 win Sunday over Southeast Missouri State. “The door is still open.”

His name is no longer on the Oregon roster.

Brown’s parents were not immediately available by phone.

Brown averaged 6 points and 2 rebounds while making a team-high 11 turnovers.

The 6-5 Brown initially chose the Ducks over Washington, UConn, Arizona State and Georgia Tech.

  • i’d leave the pac-12 too. god its a terrible conference. looks like its a 1 bid league again.

  • we will absolutely get three teams in the tournament. Arizona and Cal are locks. between Ucla, washington, oregon, and oregon state another team will get in. And just wait till next year Zona will be favored to win it all and UCLA will have Kyle anderson to go with one of the best front courts in the country. PAC will back on top very soon.

  • Zona favored to win it all? What are you guys smoking out there?

  • good thing they expanded the field. pac-12 has that going for them.

  • whatever it is, if they think Zona is going to be favored to win it all feel free send some my way.

  • ZONA will be better than UK and UConn next year.
UK will lose their 5 best players and lamb and Drummond are gone from uconn. Zona will be top 5 next year but 2013 will be their year.

  • maybe favored to win the NIT….maybe.

  • haha – what about in 2013? That’s what he’s banking on… two years from now.

  • “But but but UK will lose all of its NBA talent and we will return all of our NIT-bound guys and add a few good players, NCAA championship locks.”
