Cardozo’s Lawrence Turning Heads

NEW YORK — One major national scouting service doesn’t yet have Jermaine Lawrence ranked among its Class of 2013 prospects.

That needs to change soon — and it likely will.

At 6-foot-9, 191 pounds the Queens (N.Y.) Cardozo forward has a huge upside and could one day earn a paycheck on the basketball court.

“He’s so multi-faceted,” Cardozo coach Ron Naclerio said Friday after Lawrence helped New York crush New Jersey, 133-101, in the Sharette Dixon Classic at Bishop Loughlin.
