Parker Skipping Georgetown Visit for IS8

In case there was any doubt that high school players across the nation hold the IS8 league in Queens in high regard, consider this.

Tony Parker is skipping his weekend visit to Georgetown in order to play with Kyle Anderson and the Playaz Basketball club in the IS8 semifinals Saturday.

Our Savior New American will meet the Panthers in one semifinal at 11 a.m., while the Playaz will take on Mount Vernon in the other semifinal at 12:30.

“New York saturday with the bro @KyleAnderson5,” Parker tweeted.

The news of skipping the Georgetown visit was first reported by Jason Jordan of ESPN, and Parker confirmed it via text.

The 6-foot-9 Parker has taken officials to Ohio State, UCLA and Memphis and will trip to Duke Oct. 28. He recently said he is still considering five schools — Duke, Ohio State, Memphis, Georgetown and UCLA.
