Seton Hall Offers Jevon Thomas

Onetime St. John’s pledge Jevon Thomas visited Seton Hall Wednesday and said he was offered by the staff.

“It was good,” Thomas, who is transferring to Quality Education (N.C.), told SNY.tv. “I loved it and I played with the guys and they offered. It feels good because the Big East is the best conference. It feels good that I got another option.”

Thomas now holds offers from the Pirates, Penn State and Towson.

Thomas said Seton Hall coach Kevin Willard told him he liked his style of play and that he could potentially run the point in 2012.

“[He said] they like my game, how I fit into the offense that they’re going to play next year, pick and roll,” Thomas said. “I could come in and play because they lose Jordan Theodore.”

As far as other visits, Thomas said he will make arrangements once he arrives at his new school, Quality Education (N.C.), which also produced incoming St. John’s wing Sir’Dominic Pointer.

“Yes, he is,” Quality Education coach Isaac Pitts told SNY.tv. “He’s a great player. He’ll fit into with what we do. We play hard. He’ll come in and be a good student and be a good character kid. He’s obviously a great talent. We’re looking for him to come in and focus on his academics and be a good citizen and play basketball the way he knows how to play.”

Quality Education has also admitted 6-10 Georgetown commit Brandon Bolden of South Carolina, and 6-7 Cinmeon Bowers of Milwaukee.
