NEW YORK –– UCLA could land a monster recruiting class if everyone who visited this past week were to commit.
During one day this week, the Bruins hosted Shabazz Muhammad, Kyle Anderson, Shaq Goodwin and 2012 commit Jordan Adams.
Adams, a 6-foot-5 small forward from Oak Hill Academy who is Goodwin’s teammate with the Atlanta Celtics, and Dominic Artis, a 5-11 point guard from Findlay Prep, have already pledged to the Bruins.
Muhammad, the consensus No. 1 player in the Class of 2012, Anderson, the No. 1 point guard in the class, and the 6-8 Goodwin are all considering Ben Howland’s outfit.
“Me, Shabazz, Kyle and Jordan Adams [visited],” Goodwin said Friday in Harlem during practice for The Franchise Classic. “It was cool, nice campus, nice place.”
Goodwin, who hopes to play football and hoops in college, said he wasn’t able to discuss a potential dream class with the other recruits, though.
“We had different time schedules so I didn’t see them,” said Goodwin, an Atlanta native whose father is from Brooklyn.
Anderson will also play in The Franchise Classic, but did not attend practice Friday.
Goodwin, meantime, met with both the football and basketball staffs and he said they told him, “Definitely, I could play both.”
His most current list now includes Memphis, Florida, Georgia, Arizona, and UCLA.
He replaced Alabama with Arizona.
Wherever he goes, his ideal plan is to win a national championship in football, and then turn his attention to hoops come January.
“Yeah,” he said, “that’s how it’s gonna go.”

Good Stuff AZ.
Goodwin is better off with Arizona football and basketball.
Let me drop some knowledge on the West.
ucla is being called UNC reject U.
ucla and unlv fight for Arizona’s rejects.
No top recruit wants to play that slow ugly ball at ucla.
Some say… Ben is Sean’s Bi-aaatch.

If they want to go somewhere to learn the game properly, get drafted by the NBA, and stick and thrive there, then UCLA is the place to go. Howland has no peer in getting guys into and staying in the league. What could be better than Southern California, a great university, a great program while improving one’s game.
