Isaiah Lewis Awaiting Kentucky Offer

PHILLY — Christ the King guard Isaiah Lewis holds offers from a slew of high-major Division 1 programs.

Yet the 6-foot-4 Lewis, the No. 6 shooting guard in the Class of 2013 per Rivals, is waiting for one in particular.

“I really want to go to Kentucky,” he said last week at the Reebok Breakout Challenge. “I talk to Coach Cal and Coach O [Oliver Antigua] a lot. I haven’t gotten offered yet, but I would like to go visit and take it from there. But I really like Kentucky.”

Meantime, he said he holds offers from Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Kansas, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, UConn, Ohio State, Miami, West Virginia, Rutgers, Seton Hall and Washington, among others.

He plans to take visits after the live period in August.

His Christ the King teammate Omar Calhoun has pledged to UConn and Lewis is waiting to see how hard the Huskies recruit him.

“UConn has offered me,” Lewis said, “so I would like to see if they recruit me the hardest and maybe I’ll go there, too. I’ll never know. But right now I’m just taking everything in stride.”
