Hardy’s Career-High 34 Lifts Johnnies Over ‘Nova; Boosts Player of Year Candidacy


PHILADELPHIA – Villanova guard Corey Stokes needed just one word to describe Dwight Hardy after the latest stellar performance by the St. John’s guard.

“He’s a killer,” Stokes said.

Hardy boosted his Big East Player of the Year candidacy with a career-high 34 points, including eight in the last 3 minutes, 21 seconds, as No. 23 St. John’s won its sixth straight by beating No. 15 Villanova, 81-68, at the Wells Fargo Center.
