Former St. Joe’s Commit Bruce Getting Looks

David Bruce, the former Linden (N.J.) High School standout and onetime St. Joseph’s commit, is now a redshirt freshman at Harcum (Pa.) College and getting some looks.

The 6-foot-9 forward is averaging 12.7 points, 8.2 rebounds and 1.6 blocks while shooting 59 percent from the floor. Harcum is 11-3.

“Dave will graduate this summer and have three years of eligibility to play at the next level,” Harcum coach Drew Kelly said by email.

“He is hearing from Iowa State, St. Joe’s, Seton Hall, and many others.  He will not make a choice until he has a chance to visit some schools at the end of the season and is pretty wide open at this point.

“He has made consistent steps forward both on and off the court during his two years at Harcum.  He is still trying to put it all together and be a consistent player night in and night out, but shows flashes of his great potential.”
