Ferrakohn Hall Considering Several Schools

Seton Hall transfer Ferrakohn Hall is considering transferring to Memphis, Alabama, Auburn or Baylor, he told the Memphis Commercial Appeal

The 6-foot-7 Memphis native visited Memphis unofficially Monday and said he’s also planning upcoming trips to Alabama and Auburn.

“I plan on going to Alabama and Auburn but I haven’t set up the visits yet,” Hall reiterated Tuesday by phone.

Hall said he had not committed to Memphis.

“No, I have not,” he said.

He plans to transfer for next semester and then be eligible in December 2011.

“It will be within the next two weeks before enrollment starts,” Hall told the Commercial Appeal. “I do have to do it pretty quickly. It’s just one of those things. I had to get out and decide what I wanted to do pretty fast. I feel like those schools all kind of fit my style of play, and they all want to expose me to where I can get to the next level from this level.”

Hall, who was recruited by Bobby Gonzalez, said he left Seton Hall because it’s too far from home.

“It wasn’t that things weren’t going right,” he said. “It was more within myself. I knew that I wanted to get closer to home because I have a tight-knit family here and I wanted to be closer with them so they could be able to see me play. My brother has only seen me play college basketball once. My mother, she’s only gotten to see a few games. My sister never has, my (three) neices, my (two) nephews – my whole family.

“I just wanted to be able to come closer to home where they could either travel or be able to see my games whenever they wanted to.”

The Commercial Appeal reported that Memphis has two scholarship remaining for next season.

“I think I would definitely help them. I want to go in and help them,” Hall said of Memphis. “Any school that I would go to, I want to be an aid.”
