Curry Still a No-Show for Knicks

Eddy Curry is the only Knick yet to show up for training camp, a team source confirmed Tuesday morning.

“That’s true,” the source said.

Asked where the 7-foot Curry was, the source added, “Only God knows that.”

The New York Post reported the news earlier Tuesday.

Knicks president Donnie Walsh and coach Mike D’Antoni meet the media Wednesday. Media day and the start of camp are Friday. Two-a-day practices begin Saturday.

Curry, in the final year of  a deal worth $11.3 million this season, also did not compete with the Knicks summer league team in Las Vegas.

The source added that the Knicks still hope to land 2011 free agent Carmelo Anthony in a trade during the season even though ESPN is reporting the Nets have the most attractive package to offer Denver.

The Nets can offer rookie forward Derrick Favors, a future first-round pick and the expiring contracts of Kris Humphries and Troy Murphy.

“We’d have to give up a lot of our good players, Wilson [Chandler], [Danilo] Gallinari, good players,” the source said.

But even that may not be enough to interest Denver.
