Austin Rivers and Bradley Beal are the first two players who have been invited to this year’s Boost Mobile Elite 24 game Aug. 28 in Venice Beach, Calif., a source with knowledge told ZAGSBLOG.
The 6-foot-4 Rivers and Each 1 Teach 1 beat the 6-4 Beal and the St. Louis Eagles, 78-60, Tuesday night on ESPNU for the Orlando Super Showcase title in front of a crowd that included Billy Donovan of Florida, Roy Williams of North Carolina, former Duke star Grant Hill, Brad Stevens of Butler, Bruce Pearl of Tennessee, Anthony Grant of Alabama and Mike Anderson of Missouri.
Rivers and teammate Trevor Lacey combined for 46 points, with Rivers dropping a game-high 24 and Lacey scoring 22.
“They beat us at Boo Williams at our first tournament,” Lacey told ESPNU. “We kind of wanted a little payback. It was good for us to come out and win the game.”
Rivers said after the game he is considering Duke, North Carolina, Florida, Kansas and Kentucky.
“Those are my five schools,” he told ESPNU. “Those are five schools I’m really interested in looking at.”
Lacey said he is considering Alabama, Auburn, Memphis, Tennessee and Kentucky.
Beal, who scored 12 points in the loss, has committed to the Gators.
The first half of the 24-man Boost Mobile roster will be announced within the next week, while the remaining 12 players will be named within two weeks.
The event, which was previously held at Rucker Park in Harlem, will move to California this year and will feature a dunk contest Aug. 27.

Everything I have read so far suggests that Rivers lists UK and KU just to have a rounded list.. but it’ll be interesting to see if he actually schedules visits. All bets off if he does..

AZ,
What is the story and headlines with the Rickie Dickie story?
Rape or no rape.
Extortion or just payback.
What is up with the THIRD CALL?
Which one of the Cardinal long standing boosters …made the thrid call??
On Cross Examing Lester the M –
defense attorney questioned whether Lester had even made the third call (which is the one that is most easily legally considered extortion).
Lester claimed he did, but the defense attorney noted that while Lester could identify where he was when he made the first two calls, he had previously been unable to identify where he was when he made the third call, until told by the FBI.
dramatic moment, the attorney played the first call, then the second call and then the third.
The third call (a) had a very different sound quality and (b) sounded like potentially a different voice.
So, it was NOT Lester?
Who then…one of Rickie Friends?
Alot of Shady stuff happen in that STATE.

i cant believe i am about to agree with Jessie but the lack of coverage in general of the pitino sex/extortion scandal is absurd.
lane kiffin hires a RB coach from the titans and its on every show ESPN has. pitino takes the stand and talks about BJs, rape, extortion, and death threats and hardly a word

Rivers told Rivals.com that he plans to attned UK’s Midnight Madness. Interesting since Gilchrist and Teague will be there I am sure. In fact it could be a who’s who of the 2011 class in Lexington that night with potential attendees Anthony Davis, Quincy Miller, Tony Wroten, and Johnny O’Bryant. as well.
Rivers won’t be star struck, but I his Dad is good friends with Coach Cal, and we all know how he closes better than anyone. Duke is still the leader IMO, but he already cooled off on Florida. What’s to say he can’t cool off on Duke ? The longer this takes, the better chance UK will have.
