Crump, Taylor Taking Big East Visits

Two players looking to transfer will visit Rutgers and Seton Hall in the coming days.

Givon Crump, a 6-foot-7 wing from Washington, D.C. who is transferring from Baylor, will take an official visit to Rutgers today (Thursday), an unofficial to Seton Hall on Saturday and an official to Fresno State on Monday.

“Yes,” Crump wrote by text.

Crump averaged 0.4 points and 0.3 rebounds in 16 games as a reserve forward at Baylor in 2009-10. He will have three years of eligibility remaining.

He came to Baylor after spending two seasons at Brewster (N.H.) Academy, where he led the program to back-to-back berths in the National Prep Championship semifinals. He was a junior on the Brewster team that captured the New England Class A Championship, finishing with a 31-4 record in 2007-08.

Also, 6-7 Monmouth sophomore Travis Taylor will visit Seton Hall Saturday. He has two years of eligibility remaining.

Taylor is seeking a full release from Monmouth, while the school has imposed a conditional release limiting him to teams not on the schedule.

Monmouth does not play Seton Hall this season.
